PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS

The words of Oscar Wilde, he says "to live in the best society these days, one would have to either please people,amuse people or shock them. The practical application of his words are becoming noticeable these days.
The trend in the corporate circle in Nigeria now requires,for admission, the pocessing of some business related professional certifications.
Some of the current and up-to-date professional certifications are:
PMP: Project Management Professional
CBA: Certified Business Analyst
SSBB: Six Sigma Black Belt
There are so many but these are the few ones that i can remember.
The core skills in the corporate world now tend towards project management, process improvement, business analysis, business process design and so on.
The trend has moved from General Management, Finance Management and even Human Relation.....
Gone are the days when MBA was the only top level management requirements. Lately, your MBA must have PMP or other process-driven professional certifications in other to get the job, except ofcourse the company is owned by your Uncle.
If you have some of these certifications and qualification, you can be sure to get the job, well, provided the MD doesnt have a niece or nephew who wants the job.
